minutesQuick and easy meal for kids which can also be enjoyed as a snack for adults. Very convenient as a packed meal when out and about.
Ingredients
2 soft brown thin bread slices
2 tbsp store bought roasted red pepper pesto (or a pesto of your choice)
handful of fresh spinach
1 cheese slice
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp of freshly crushed black pepper
butter (optional)
Directions
- Place two slices of soft bread on a chopping board
- Apply pesto evenly on the inner side of the bread and arrange the spinach on the slices
- Season with oregano and freshly crushed pepper
- Place the cheese slice and sandwich together
- (Optional) Apply little bit of butter on the outer side of the sandwich
- (Optional) Heat a pan and place the sandwich on the pan for 40 seconds (each side)
- Serve warm with any sauce of your choice
